Weekly Latin Mass Announced in Down and Connor

This week there is no sermon because I want to speak to you about an experiment, a trial that we will be starting in Lent.For the past while the priests who offer the Traditional Mass have been talking about regularising the Mass and so there are going to be some changes coming but I stress this is a trial to see how it goes.
At the moment Mass is offered on two Sundays of the month and then also on a Tuesday evening, here and at St Therese on the Somerton Road.From the First Sunday in Lent, the 5th March, there will a weekly Sunday Mass in the Extraordinary Form at 4pm and all the Masses will take place in St Therese.… Read More

Mass and first Blessing of a newly ordained Priest
This Sunday at 7pm Holy Mass will be offered in St Therese church by Canon Benjamin Coggeshall, a newly ordained priest for the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Following Mass Canon will give his first blessing and provide a prayer card for everyone who attends. Please share this information and encourage as many friends and family as possible to attend.
Christmas cards featuring beautiful images of the Nativity and published by the Institute will be available for sale, proceeds going to assist in the Institute’s work of enhancing the beauty of the Sacred Liturgy.… Read More
Schola
A new schola is being formed in Belfast. The ambition is that every Mass will be sung if possible. The choir master of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, Canon Lebocq, will offer lessons each second Sunday one hour before the 6pm Mass in St Therese.
