This week there is no sermon because I want to speak to you about an experiment, a trial that we will be starting in Lent.For the past while the priests who offer the Traditional Mass have been talking about regularising the Mass and so there are going to be some changes coming but I stress this is a trial to see how it goes.

At the moment Mass is offered on two Sundays of the month and then also on a Tuesday evening, here and at St Therese on the Somerton Road.From the First Sunday in Lent, the 5th March, there will a weekly Sunday Mass in the Extraordinary Form at 4pm and all the Masses will take place in St Therese.… Read More

Canon John O’Connors first Mass in Belfast

This month’s Missa Cantata will be celebrated by Canon John O’Connor from the Institute of Christ the King. He was ordained this Summer and this will be his first Mass in Belfast. The customary first blessings will be available immediately after Holy Mass.  I hope we can give Canon O’Connor a warm Belfast welcome so please come and encourage friends/family to attend also. This Comming Weekend

This Comming Weekend

A visiting priest, Fr Michael Rowe will offer the Holy Mass this Saturday in St Teresa’s (Glen Road) at a time yet to be decided and this Sunday at 6pm in St Therese (Somerton Road).
On Sunday Holy Mass will be immediately followed by Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament and Benediction. We will keep you posted re: Saturday once we know more.

Mass this Sunday 10th of May

A quick announcement:

Due to Canon Lebocq being unable to visit this month, Mass this Sunday (10th) of May will be held at the later time of 7.15pm and will be a Low Mass celebrated by Fr McCaughan.

Be sure to come along and encourage others to experience this most beautiful form of the Mass.

For this coming month of May we regret to announce that the Low Mass celebrated by Fr Martin Graham on the first Sunday of the month will again be cancelled. The schedule however, will continue as normal thereafter.

Canon Lebocq will celebrate a Missa Cantata as per regular schedule on the Second Sunday (10th of May) at 7.15pm and Fr McCaughan will also offer Low Mass on the third Tuesday (19th of May) at 7.00pm.

This Sunday at 7pm Holy Mass will be offered in St Therese church by Canon Benjamin Coggeshall, a newly ordained priest for the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
